Types of Mosquitoes and Diseases They Transmit:


1. *Aedes Mosquitoes:*

    - Diseases: Dengue Fever, Chikungunya, Zika Virus, Yellow Fever

    - Infection: Through bites, primarily during daylight hours

    - Prevention: Eliminate standing water, use insect repellents, wear protective clothing

    - Cure: No specific treatment, but early detection and medical care can manage symptoms


2. *Anopheles Mosquitoes:*

    - Diseases: Malaria, Filariasis

    - Infection: Through bites, primarily at night

    - Prevention: Use mosquito nets, insecticides, and wear protective clothing

    - Cure: Medications like chloroquine for malaria, and antibiotics for filariasis


3. *Culex Mosquitoes:*

    - Diseases: West Nile Virus, Filariasis, Japanese Encephalitis

    - Infection: Through bites, primarily at night

    - Prevention: Eliminate standing water, use insect repellents, and wear protective clothing

    - Cure: No specific treatment for West Nile Virus, but early detection and medical care can manage symptoms


4. *Mansonia Mosquitoes:*

    - Diseases: Filariasis, Japanese Encephalitis

    - Infection: Through bites, primarily at night

    - Prevention: Eliminate standing water, use insect repellents, and wear protective clothing

    - Cure: Antibiotics for filariasis, and early detection and medical care for Japanese Encephalitis



*General Prevention Measures:

- Eliminate standing water around homes and public areas

- Use insect repellents and wear protective clothing

- Install window and door screens

- Use mosquito nets and air conditioning

- Implement integrated pest management strategies
